Modern modular houses – speed, comfort and ecology

Modular houses are increasingly chosen among the popular building solutions in Poland. They consist of ready-made elements that make up larger parts of buildings. The modules are manufactured in the factory. Later, on the construction site, it is enough to connect them together to create the final building. Where to find them? For example, at – Modular houses.

Prefabricated houses are made of expanded clay or other ready-made materials. The prepared building elements form a larger whole and, unlike conventional building erection technology, they are not created brick by brick. Ready-made walls, ceilings and other elements of the structure appear on the construction site and are then assembled.

The technology of building houses from modules is more accurate than traditional construction. Indeed, the construction elements are manufactured in factories using modern machines and computer programs. In this way, the risk of errors and defects is reduced, which results for example in better thermal insulation conditions.

Modern technologies and a high degree of prefabrication have made modular houses very popular in Poland. At the same time, they are no longer associated with containers that previously served as vacation homes. Contemporary modular homes can be very efficient, yet comfortable, and will serve you year-round. In addition, they are ecological and energy-efficient constructions that fit perfectly into current trends, for example in terms of reducing CO2 emissions.

Price is also a big advantage of modular structures. A building with similar dimensions and structures in the prefabricated version will be cheaper than a traditional brick structure. For many people, this is the only possibility of living at home, without a neighbor behind the wall. Current material prices are high and loan prices are rising steadily. In the case of modular homes, the cost of own ownership is significantly lower.

There are four types of structures on the market which are used for: wood, steel, expanded clay or SIP panels. The biggest differences can be seen in the technical parameters.

Modular houses in expanded clay concrete they are almost entirely factory-made. Individual elements are prepared and then connected on specially prepared foundations. The structure is based on a steel frame filled with LECA and the thermal insulation is mineral wool. Exterior walls are covered with plaster or wood siding.

LECA is made of a combination of concrete and expanded clay, ie aggregates fired from clay. The mixture works very well in modular technology, as it is light, but durable and resistant to external factors. LECA houses are energy efficient and warm structures that are inexpensive to maintain.

Modular wooden houses they are very popular in Canada and Scandinavia. This is where the terms Scandinavian or Canadian houses come from. Items are constructed in the factory, where the skeleton of the building is constructed. On the construction site, it is supplemented with additional construction elements. The walls are a multi-layered combination of wood-based panels and insulating layers, for example mineral wool. Inside, the property is finished with plasterboard. A wooden modular house can be built in about 3 months.

A way to build steel modular homes is the core technology. The structure of the house is made of steel profiles. On the construction site, they are supplemented with additional elements, just as in wooden houses.

There is also a construction technology from sea containers. Most often, these types of buildings are used as recreational facilities. They are assembled from ready-made container-based modules, but have been converted into housing. The walls are insulated and can be finished, for example, with plasterboard. A modular house made of containers can be built even in a day.

SIP Panel Modular Homes in terms of production, they are similar to their wooden counterparts. In this case, the building blocks are structural panels, which consist of three layers: two outer shielding panels and an insulating layer, which can be polystyrene, polyurethane foam or rock wool.

SIP panels are delivered to the site in packages. Then they are unpacked and assembled, and their assembly takes about 2-3 weeks. In the next step, the employees insert the windows and doors, and then carry out the finishing work.

Your dream leisure home may be 35m2, but year-round facilities usually start at 70m2. You will also find on the market properties of more than 120 m2. Most often these are one-story houses with a flat or gable roof. However, you can order structures with an attic, which gives more room for maneuver and arrangement of the room.

Do you want to move into your new home quickly? Choose modular structures. Even a few weeks after making the decision to build, you can live on your own. The buildings are ecological, and therefore respectful of the environment. At the same time, they are well protected against the weather, which improves the comfort of residents. Currently, it is also an economically interesting alternative to conventional construction. Do you dream of your own home? Bet on the modules.
