My Heat – co-financing for heat pumps in new homes

In order to support activities contributing to the reduction of pollution and the promotion of renewable energy sources, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has launched a program which finance the purchase and installation of heat pumps. They will benefit from the program new home owners. OFincreasing the share of renewable energy sources in energy consumption is an important element on the way to an effective improvement in air quality.

Who can benefit from the grant?

The program is aimed at natural persons, i.e. owners or co-owners new single-family homes with a higher energy standard. The co-financing covers both the purchase and the installation of air, water and ground heat pumps. These devices will be used to heat the house or to heat and produce domestic hot water at the same time. It should also be taken into account that the building covered by the co-financing may not have a solid fuel heat source.

“For the first time, owners of new buildings have been able to obtain subsidies. Under the “Moje Ciepło” program, funds are allocated for the purchase and installation of heat pumps – from 7 to 21 thousand. zloty. The national program budget is PLN 600 million. It should be emphasized that only owners of new residential buildings with a higher energy standard will benefit from the aid. It is therefore an incentive to build green and less energy-consuming buildings, which will translate into lower bills in the future”.

emphasizes Józef Gawron – Deputy Marshal of Lesser Poland Voivodeship

What subsidies do the beneficiaries of the program expect?

The aid will be provided in the form of a non-reimbursable grant representing up to 30% of the eligible investment costs. If the applicant has a large family card (KDR) – up to 45%. A new house with a higher energy standard – what does this mean in practice?

A new residential building is a building that meets one of the following conditions:

  • on the day of filing of the subsidy application, no notice of completion of the construction of a single-family residential building has been filed, nor has any application for an occupancy permit been filed in accordance with the provisions of the law of July 7, 1994. construction law
  • the request for a decision on the occupancy permit was filed no earlier than January 1, 2021.
  • the construction completion notification was submitted no earlier than January 1, 2021.

A condition for obtaining a subsidy is also obtaining a higher building energy standard. This translates into the need to achieve an appropriate indicator of the annual demand for non-renewable primary energy (EP) related to heating, ventilation and the preparation of domestic hot water (EPH + W). It can be max 63kWh (WE2 of the surface of the house during the year) in the case of applications submitted in 2022. and maximum 55kWh for applications to be submitted in subsequent years.

When can an application be submitted?

The call for applications runs continuously from April 29, 2022 to December 31, 2026 or until the dedicated fund pool is exhausted. The period of eligibility of costs began on January 1, 2021. The rule is that of many other universal programs of the Fund: first executing the investment, then applying for a non-repayable grant.
