If we talk about other rooms in the house, a new Bespoke AI washing machine will be launched in July in the United States and Europe. The model available in the US market will have an impressive capacity – up to 150 liters[1]. Ultra Capacity makes washing easy regardless of load size. The AI OptiWash ™ function optimizes each wash by using the right amount of water and detergent according to the degree of soiling of the laundry. The automatic dosing system allows automatic storage and dosing of detergent. The Samsung Bespoke AI washing machines, available in the US market, will be available in four colors and finishes: Brushed Navy, Brushed Black, Silver Steel and Forest Green.[2]

The Bespoke AI dryer is equipped with the advanced AI Optimal Dry system, which, using an intelligent sensor, constantly monitors the water content and intelligently optimizes its algorithm in order to properly dry the load. It also automatically controls cycle time and temperature, protecting fabrics from overheating.[3] An advanced humidity sensor recognizes humidity levels and changes to adjust temperature and drying time for maximum performance. The Smart Dial feature personalizes your laundry by recognizing frequently used wash and dry settings. Additionally, using the Samsung Bespoke AI washing machine and dryer – appliances designed to work together optimally – users can wash and dry clothes in an hour with the Super Quick Wash and Super Quick Dry programs.

In turn, the new Bespoke AI washing machines and dryers available on the European market will be equipped with the latest energy-saving technologies and environmental features from Samsung, including AI Ecobubble ™, AI Wash and SpaceMax ™.

At the Bespoke Home 2022 event, Samsung will also show how bespoke designs have evolved, thanks to a variety of activities, such as: competitions for interior designers, collaborations with artists or limited editions of panels. All of this resulted in unconventional and personalized tailor-made solutions. Samsung captured the attention of consumers around the world with its global #BespokeDesignedByYou competition (including Singapore in 2021 and the United Arab Emirates in 2022). The manufacturer has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Thibaud Hérem, Andy Rementer and Alex Proba on special designs for Bespoke refrigerator panels. At the same time, Samsung launched a limited edition of panels with cultural symbols, such as the stars and stripes of the American flag or the British flag. Additionally, taking custom design to the next level, the company announced the launch of MyBespoke in the US in May. It will allow customers to design unique and custom panels for bespoke French door refrigerators. MyBespoke panels will be available later this year in the United States.

A comfortable and smart home

Bespoke connected devices offer more than just app control. They create personalized experiences using technology based on artificial intelligence, adapting to the individual needs of the household. to make home life more comfortable. To this end, Samsung will launch SmartThings Home Life worldwide in June this year, combining six basic home functions: cooking, energy management, clothing care, pet care, water quality improvement air and home care. With SmartThings Home Life, users will be able to personalize their service using devices that work together.

SmartThings will also play a key role in Samsung’s partnership with ABB, an IoT integrator, as part of a comprehensive smart home offering. Samsung SmartThings will serve as the master control center for home appliances and HVAC systems integrated into ABB’s product line, such as light switches, electric car chargers, wall control panels , etc. Through the integration, users will be able to monitor Samsung and ABB devices, which will further expand the use of SmartThings in homes around the world.

Ecology from start to finish

Commitment to the environment has long been at the heart of Samsung product design. That’s why all custom firsts are designed with a sustainable product life cycle from start to finish.

Custom-made devices have been designed to be as efficient and ecological as possible. Samsung tries to prevent soil contamination during the production of the devices by minimizing the waste generated in the factories, in particular glass shards. Along the same lines, the company also turns liquids such as used oil and paint into fuel. Samsung’s Korean digital appliance manufacturing plants achieved an industrial waste recycling rate of 93% in 2019 and 98% in 2021. Moreover, this indicator will continue to grow.

When it comes to product delivery, the manufacturer reduces overreliance on natural resources by using eco-friendly packaging that consumers can reuse. Additionally, Samsung offers digital instruction manuals in the form of QR codes, reducing paper consumption.

Durable solutions also apply to the use of appliances. Samsung refrigerators are equipped with an advanced Digital Inverter compressor and washing machines use technologies such as AI Ecobubble ™. Thanks to these innovative solutions, the energy consumption of built-in refrigerators was 67% in 2020[4] lower than in 2000, and in the case of drum washing machines – in 2020 it was 53%[5] lower than in 2011. The effect of Samsung’s green activities has been recognized by Energy Star certificates, which are awarded to all built-in washing machines and dishwashers and 91% of Samsung refrigerators sold in the United States. United. For users of the company’s equipment, this means lower energy costs while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

SmartThings Energy can also help users save energy and shape green habits by easily turning off appliances when not in use and adjusting blinds and air conditioners.

Ultimately, for any household appliance, its correct disposal at the end of its life cycle is of great importance in the whole process of sustainable development. To ensure a longer lifespan for home appliances, Samsung has since July offered a 20-year warranty, the longest offered in Europe and the United States, on major bespoke components such as Digital Inverter motors and compressors. In addition, thanks to the modularity of the products in this range, users can adapt them over time to changing needs, instead of buying new ones.

Samsung devices are designed to be flexible, durable, efficient and as environmentally friendly as possible in terms of the amount of waste. These activities reflect how the company is helping to create a more sustainable future.
