Unavailability of Blik payments, instant transfers and the inability to pay for purchases in online stores – most banks in Poland have announced technical breaks. Like every week at, we check the weekend service works in the institutions.

Technical breaks for the coming weekend have been announced by 12 banks: PKO Bank Polski, ING Bank Śląski, Crédit Agricole, Volkswagen Bank, Bank BPS, Santander Consumer Bank, Bank Pocztowy, mBank, Nest Bank, Getin Bank, Toyota Bank and Bank Pekao.

PKO BP with a technical break

PKO Bank Polski has announced several technical breaks in the operation of individual services for the coming weekend. The longest of them will start on Sunday (June 12) at midnight and will last until 12:00. During this period, the mobile application, Internet banking and telephone banking will be unavailable. During the break, customers will also not use the Open Banking function and payments in online stores using the “Pay with iPKO” service.

A shorter technical break will also take place on Sunday (June 12). Between midnight and 3:00 a.m. there will be difficulties in online card payments, while between 3h00-12h00 as part of online payment protection with the 3D-Secure 2 card, only authorization with an SMS code and the card’s PIN code will be available.

In addition, during maintenance work at PKO BP (midnight to 12:00 p.m.) the mobile application will only be able to withdraw money from ATMs and pay in stationary and online stores with Blik.

Service work at ING Bank Śląski

ING Bank Śląski also announced a technical break. The night from Saturday to Sunday (from June 11 to 12) midnight to 4:30 a.m. Express Elixir Instant Transfers and Blik Phone Transfers will be unavailable. Whereas between midnight and 1 a.m. there may be problems with the execution of card payment transactions in ING / Planet Cash network devices.

Technical break at Bank Pekao

Bank Pekao customers must take into account a number of unavailability caused by planned service works in the bank. The first technical break will begin on Saturday (June 11) at 11:00 p.m. and will last until midnight. During this period, Internet banking, the mobile application, the Pekao24Makler and eTrader Pekao platforms will not be available. On the other hand, from midnight to 2 p.m., customers may have difficultye submit a Cash Click loan application.

Whereas Sunday (June 12) between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Pekao customers will not pay with the PeoPay app and Blik code, they will not use an ATM, payment terminal, payment card and will not transfer money from a credit card.

Also Sunday (June 12) from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Instant transfers will not be available Express Elixir and transfers to the Blik phone in the mobile application.

Difficulties at mBank

The technical break also awaits mBank customers. The night Saturday to Sunday (June 11-12) 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. transfers to the Blik phone and express transfers will not be available. According to mBank, the services will not be available on both the transaction website and mobile devices.

Technical break at Crédit Agricole

Another bank that has announced a technical break for the coming weekend is Crédit Agricole. Scheduled maintenance work will begin at midnight on Sunday (June 12) and will last until 7:00 a.m.. During the technical break, the following services will not be available:

  • CA24 services (eBank, mobile, SMS),
  • IVR auto phone service,
  • Internet Payments Online Transfer,
  • Blick.

In addition to the difficulties mentioned above, during the planned service works, Crédit Agricole bank customers will not receive SMS notifications about transactions made with a payment card.

Technical break at Nest Bank

Nest Bank has also announced maintenance work for next weekend. There is an unavailability “package” awaiting customers. The first will start on Saturday (June 11) at 7:00 a.m. and will last until midnight. During this period, online banking and the mobile application will only operate in order acceptance mode. In concrete terms, this means that after logging into online banking or the mobile application, the customer will be able to consult the account balance and order a transfer to be executed after the end of the unavailability. However, it will not be available:

  • Blik, Visa Mobile and instant transfers,
  • payments in the online store via the payment link,
  • validate payments for purchases by card on the Internet by electronic payment,
  • modification of payment limits in electronic banking.

Whereas from midnight to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday (June 12) The mobile application, online banking, Blik, Visa Mobile, online banking payment confirmation via electronic banking, payments in the online store via the payment link and changing payment limits in the electronic banking will not be available.

Santander Consumer Bank on break

Technical works were also announced by Santander Consumer Bank. The planned interruption will take place Saturday (June 11) between 4:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.. During this time, internet banking and the mobile app will not be available.

Service job at Getin Bank

Also, Getin Bank customers will face difficulties during the coming weekend. The break in service will begin on Saturday (June 11) at 11:50 p.m. and will last until Sunday (June 12) until 6:00 a.m. During the technical break, customers will not be able to:

  • connect to internet banking and the mobile application,
  • confirm payments for online purchases in banks,
  • use the services of Blik.

According to Getin Bank, during the technical break, bank card and contactless payments by phone will work.

BPS bank with a service interruption

BPS Bank customers will also face the technical break. Sunday (June 12) from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Express Elixir instant payments will not be available. According to BPS, development work is being carried out on the side of the National Clearinghouse.

Technical break at Toyota Bank

Sunday (June 12) from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Toyota Bank customers need to consider the difficulties in accessing electronic banking, telephone service, bank statements and so-called fast payments. In addition between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. there may be difficulties in card payments.

Technical work at Volkswagen Bank

Volkswagen Bank also announced planned technical work. Bank customers Sunday (June 12) between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. they will not be able to connect to electronic banking and use payment cards.

Bank Pocztowy with a technical break

On the other hand, Bank Pocztowy customers have difficulty accessing Bank Pocztowy’s contact and product request submission service. The technical break will begin in Monday (June 13) at 10:00 p.m. and will last until Tuesday (June 14) until 3:00 a.m..
